Meet Tricia Maldonado | Wedding and Event Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tricia Maldonado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tricia, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Work-life balance is incredibly important to me, especially as a parent to two young children. It’s something I consciously prioritize each week to ensure I’m present both for my family and my clients. Before scheduling any meetings or events, I carefully consider how they will impact my time with my family. I structure my calendar to allow for evenings spent taking my kids to their sports and activities, and if I have a busy event weekend, I make sure to be more available at home during the week.
Beyond just managing my schedule, I’m intentional about how we spend our family time. Whether it’s planning trips, visiting Disneyland, or simply enjoying quality time together, I make sure we’re making meaningful memories. It’s easy to get caught up in work commitments, but missing out on my kids’ important moments is not an option for me. While balancing everything can be challenging at times, I feel that I’ve found a rhythm that allows me to fully support my clients while also being there for my family when it matters most.

We take immense pride in our ability to anticipate needs before they arise, problem-solve behind the scenes, and create a stress-free experience for our couples. The countless heartfelt reviews we’ve received speak to the trust we build with our clients and the care we put into every event.
Getting to where we are today has been a journey filled with dedication, late nights, and plenty of learning experiences. The wedding industry is fast-paced and ever-changing, and we’ve had to adapt, grow, and refine our process over the years. One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is the importance of communication—both with our couples and with vendors. Clear expectations and strong relationships are what allow us to execute weddings flawlessly.
We want the world to know that at Tricia Dahlgren Events, we don’t just plan weddings—we create experiences that our couples and their families will cherish forever. We are honored to be a part of such a special milestone in people’s lives, and we will continue to pour our hearts into making every event as seamless and extraordinary as possible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A mix of Disney magic, local Santa Clarita fun, and great food—perfect for families and everyday fun!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the unwavering support of my family—both immediate and extended. Their belief in me and in TDE has been the foundation of my success. From encouraging me through the long hours to celebrating every milestone, they have made it possible for me to build something I hope will continue beyond me. Their love and support are truly the driving force behind everything I do.
My TDE team is another essential part of this journey. Their dedication, passion, and hard work ensure that our clients receive the exceptional service we are known for. Their commitment allows me to take on so many amazing clients, knowing they are in the best hands. Without them, TDE would not be what it is today.
I am also grateful for the incredible wedding and event community I am a part of. As the president of a networking group in my area, I am surrounded by talented professionals who push each other to grow, learn, and evolve. This group has been invaluable—not only in the early days of my business but still today as we continue to elevate the industry together.
The wedding and event industry as a whole thrives on collaboration, and I am lucky to be part of a community that values connection over competition. The support and inspiration I have received from my peers have helped shape my career, and I am so thankful for the incredible people I get to work alongside every day!
