Meet Tristan Rice: Singer/Platinum songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tristan Rice and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tristan, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
Being away from my children while I’m in LA following my dreams to make a better life for them. They’re my best friends so it’s very difficult even though I talk with them every day on FaceTime and go to see them every few months.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is that I have no sleep schedule. I’m literally working at my craft 24/7. Most people do this to be popular. I’m doing this for the love of music and creating. If this job didn’t pay I would still do it. I’m most excited about all of these records that I’m apart of that are about to come out. I’m most excited for this new year and the things that will take place. I just got my first artist Anaya Strong and she’s sooooooo incredible. I can’t wait for the world to know her! I’m excited about my babies coming to LA again this summer. It’s funny bc now that my kids know what I do, they think I know every single celebrity. Lol. I love them sooo much. I got to where I am today professionally by keeping my faith in God and out working everyone around me. Consistency is key and I can really say that it’s what has kept me here. In this industry the hard part isn’t getting here. The hard part is staying here. I’m just super grateful to God that I got to stay here. I’ll be here for awhile. It was not easy at all but soooo worth it. I overcame challenges by believing and knowing that I belong here too. I never gave up. I just want everyone to know that ANYTHING is obtainable if you work at it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well of course I’d take them to all the studio sessions lol. I love pizza and tacos so we would definitely be eating somewhere that they serve that. I’m not really a party guy or club guy so We wouldn’t be doing that really. I mostly hangout with nothing but creatives. I love going to art museums & photo studios.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A few people. First I’d like to thank my friend Keyshia Cole for being one the most genuine people I’ve met. SOO many people misunderstand her but we just get each other. She’s made me realize so much. I’d like to thank TMG Fresh for completely changing my life here in LA. If it weren’t for him I’m not sure where I’d be in this point of my life. THANK YOU. I’d like to thank my Stacy Barthe. She has opened doors for me that no one would ever imagine. She is the light that keeps a lot of this together. I’m sooo grateful for her.
