We had the good fortune of connecting with Twanita Dozier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Twanita, what do you attribute your success to?
As a Minority Woman owned business, my brand success has come from confidence, dedication, and passion.

I created Boss Up Magazine and my mobile app the Boss Experience, to celebrate other minority owned businesses, and to bridge the gap of emerging entrepreneurs and media.

During that process, confidence gave me the push I needed to continue, dedication prevented me from giving up, and passion was my constant reminder of “why.”

Not only did those three things help keep my platforms thriving, but they also keep me focus and helped me block out negativity and doubt from others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Although I am the CEO & Founder of my very own multimedia platform and mobile app, I am also an Airline Recruiter and have been for the last 6+years.

I absolutely love my position because it allows me to help others, travel the world, helped me grow professionally & personally, and experience things that I’m sure I wouldn’t have the chance to anywhere else.

I’m all about making an impact, and being an Airline Recruiter has afforded me that opportunity and more.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a Virginia resident of the DMV area, I would definitely take my best friend to see and experience all of what Washington D.C. and the National Harbor has to offer.

There are so many things to do and see, that I am sure a week long trip just couldn’t cover everything!

With all the monuments, museums, events, food, and history to experience – a week long trip just wouldn’t be long enough, but I would try my best to make the best of it.
