We had the good fortune of connecting with Tysen Knight and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tysen, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Tysen Knight Productions is a community based creative lounge and art studio that brings visibility to often overlooked groups — especially homeless street artists. Through our award-winning documentaries like The Art Of Hustle: Homeless Street Artist, we shed light on the talents and stories of people who are frequently ignored by society. Our approach to creativity invites people to see their communities differently and think more deeply about identity, creativity, and expression.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets Tysen Knight apart is not just his distinctive visual style but his integrated approach — where dynamic public art, storytelling, mentorship, and activism all come together. He uses art as a vehicle for expression, community engagement, and social transformation, not just decoration or commercial success.

Tysen Knight’s path to becoming an artist wasn’t smooth or linear. A few key challenges really shaped his journey and, honestly, became fuel for his work. One of the biggest hurdles was financial instability early in life. Like many emerging artists, he didn’t start with access to elite art schools, connections, or funding. Materials, studio space, and exposure were constant challenges, which pushed him to be resourceful and self-driven.

What makes Tysen Knight stand out is that he didn’t avoid these challenges—he built his identity around overcoming them. Each obstacle pushed him towards greatness, and the same struggles that could’ve stopped him are the ones that shaped the artist he became.

The world should know that Tysen Knight is more than just an artist — he’s a builder of culture, opportunity, and community.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Bar Cecil in Palm Springs features artwork by Tysen Knight as part of its design — blending his street-art sensibility with the restaurant’s luxe, art-filled exterior and interior painted details by Tysen Knight are part of the eclectic art collection featured throughout Bar Cecil.
