We had the good fortune of connecting with Venice Wong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Venice, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor to reach success is to NEVER give up. As long as you’re  passionate and love what you do, just keep on trying.  In this industry there’s going to be a lot of rejection and rejection shouldn’t stop you from reaching your goals and dreams.  As a matter of fact, I use rejection to make myself even better for the next opportunity that comes along.  Hone your skills and show it to the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As far as music,  I’m in a poprock band called “The Wong Quadruplets” and each of us developed our talents which started as a hobby as early as when we were 8 years old. Then came the thought of playing together. The uniqueness of our group doesn’t stop there as we are real quadruplet siblings.  I play bass guitar and I’m lead singer; my brother  Alexander is  on lead guitar; Harrison plays the keys and last but not the least Mason plays drums, keys and guitar. We launched our  first original single and music video at the age of 10 titled “Summertime” and was aired on kids show national TV “Kids Say the Darndest Things” hosted by Tiffany Haddish and Nickelodeon Faces Music Party . We recently released our second single and music video “Hummingbird” on June 16, 2023. We’ve performed numerous events all over southern California including the iconic Whisky Ago Go in Hollywood, Panana Night Market, Pumpkin Run Alhmabra, 4th of July Festivals in Alhambra, OC Fair, Imaginology Fair, South Bay Music Connection Children’s Business Fair in Torrance, Music Factory in Sta Ana, Hangar 24, Lunar Festivals, Talent shows, Kelaidoscope Mission Viejo, Downtown Anaheim, Hermosa Beach Festival, Fox Theatre Pomona, Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes for YMCA, Alhambra Library, Alhambra Farmers Market, Christmas charity event at ACCC Community in Los Angeles, Battle of the Bands YMCA Westchester where we  placed top 3 at the age of 12, Battle of the Bands Monrovia HS, Pomona Youth Festival and much much more.  We also do commercial and print ad modelling such as Nike and Sketchers.  Fun fact about me  is that I’m the voice of Diva and Grow Grrrl  in LOL House of Surprises in season 2, 3 and upcoming season 4; Halvey on Netflix “My Dad The Bounty Hunter”; and an upcoming new character in Rainbow High season 5.  My other new projects which are now being shown on Youtube are Unicorn Academy and Bakugan Battle House watch party/reaction videos where we talk and react on each of the episode. Me and my brothers  also did some few episodes on Dharmann, a popular Youtube web series, we’ve done a feature film together which is on post production at this time titled “Easter Bloody Easter” directed by Dianne Foster.   All of these  started with a thought, a belief, a dream and now we’re ready to take on what the world has to offer.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love going to the beach so most likely, I would suggest to visit Laguna, Newport and Sta Monica Beach, followd  by a tour in some iconic places in Los Angeles like Hollywood walk of fame, Chinese Theatre, Rodeo Drive and definitely should try the diversity of restaurants in LA.  I personally love sushi so my mom took me to Matsuhisa in LA and it was my first time to experience Omakase. Best sushi ever I had by far.  Me and my brothers also like also like museums so I would suggest California Science Center,  Museum of Illusions, The  Broad, LACMA and Getty Center. A fun basketball game at the Crypto Arena will also be a fun experience coming to LA.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would give a shout out to my parents who continuously supported us in this journey. We’ve been playing as a band since 9 years old and its not easy to travel all over southern California with 4 kids, together with all of our instruments and sometimes the whole PA system. Most of the time we have to travel with 2 vehicles if our dad is off work. Sometimes its just my mom helping us when we perform as our dad has to work. Me, my siblings and my mom learned to assemble everything together when we have a gigs. Also wanted to give a shout out to Ms Ivy Lundeen of Ivy Artists Management who never gave up on us and continue to support us with our music and acting career.   We are very grateful and thankful to have the best manager ever.
