We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Nichole and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think about risk very differently than I used to. Earlier in my life, I was taught that risk meant pushing harder, moving faster, and tolerating a lot of discomfort in the name of success. But over time, I realized that staying in situations that looked ‘safe’ on paper, but felt draining or misaligned in my body- was actually the bigger risk.
The most meaningful risks I’ve taken in my life and career have been quiet ones. Choosing a slower pace. Letting go of versions of myself that were built around survival, approval, or constant productivity. Trusting my intuition even when there wasn’t a clear roadmap yet.
As I’ve moved into new chapters, I’ve learned that growth often requires releasing what once worked but no longer fits. Your new life really does cost you your old one, and that can feel risky until you realize how much energy, creativity, and clarity you gain in return.
For me, risk hasn’t been about gambling everything. It’s been about listening to my body, honoring my values, and building a business that’s sustainable, embodied, and honest. When I frame it that way, choosing alignment over familiarity doesn’t feel reckless- it feels inevitable.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, The Reset Room, was created as a space for people to slow down, reconnect, and feel safe in their bodies. I’m a Massage Therapist, but my work goes beyond physical relief. Over time, I began noticing a clear pattern in the clients who found me: people navigating therapy, questioning their spirituality, experiencing career changes; people moving through life’s big shifts. I didn’t set out to attract these clients, but once I saw the pattern, I honored it. My work naturally evolved into something more embodied and supportive of change.
What sets my work apart is my approach. I’m deeply interested in creating spaces where people don’t feel like they have to earn rest, belonging, or care. So much of our culture is built around productivity, comparison, and survival, and I see how that shows up in people’s bodies. The Reset Room exists as a counterbalance – a place that feels grounding, nurturing, and safe, where clients can soften and simply exist.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t seamless, but it felt honest. There were moments of uncertainty and financial gaps, but instead of pushing harder, I learned to realign. When something in my business wasn’t working, I looked inward first, asking what no longer fit me, and allowing the business to evolve as I did. I’ve learned that when I prioritize my own well-being and alignment, the right clients naturally find their way in.
One of the biggest lessons entrepreneurship has taught me is that it’s a mirror. It reveals where you’re out of alignment, where you’re holding on too tightly, and where you’re being invited to grow. My work has shaped me just as much as I’ve shaped it, especially during seasons of change and pause.
I started my business in 2020, during a time when everything outside of us felt uncertain and out of our control. Going inward became my way of finding inner stability, and that experience deeply shaped how I work today. The Reset Room exists to help people reconnect with that same sense of inner stability, so matter what is shifting around them, they have a safe place within themselves to return to.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that it isn’t fixed and it isn’t meant to be. I don’t believe we have to sacrifice ourselves to build something meaningful or reduce our identity to what we do for work. My business is rooted in the idea that the most steady place we have, is within ourselves, and when we feel safe there, change becomes easier to navigate.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d start with a morning walk or surf at Huntington Beach Pier and Bolsa Chica State Beach to enjoy the ocean breeze. We could explore the Balboa Fun Zone in Newport Beach or go tide-pooling at Salt Creek Beach Park in Dana Point. For coffee and slow mornings, I love White Sparrow Coffee, Mameya Coffee Roasters, or Tru Bru Coffee. For meals, favorites include Haven Craft Kitchen + Bar, and Orange Hill for a special night out. No trip is complete without wandering Fashion Island or South Coast Plaza for shopping and people-watching, then finishing with a sunset by the water. OC’s mix of beaches, hikes, good food, and coffee makes a laid-back week feel like a true California escape.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m deeply grateful for the incredible women in my local beauty and wellness community – from massage therapists, estheticians, and hairstylists, to nail, brow, lash & wax techs – who welcomed me, shared clients, and built a. supportive space for each other. I’m also inspired daily by my clients, whose openness and introspection remind me that we’re all learning and growing together.
To my friends and family, who have supported me without hesitation, your belief in my strength to endure has meant more than I can express.
I also honor the teachers and books that found me at just the right moments – from learning more about myself through Human Design to T. Harv Eker’s perspective on service and business, as well as the quiet guidance of my intuition that has shaped my path. Every step has been nurtured, supported, and co-created, and I am so grateful.
