We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria R and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Well, I love art. Growing up i always saw so much and such a variety of fun & scary things, and even then I was always curious. Mainly about what not why, so why not go with what makes me feel better. So I art, I draw paint and do what the self naturally feels to do or to be. Sometimes it is more difficult or such a challenge but like I said I’m always ecstatic about making something. I love colors and shapes, line and many other things as well. Personally, painting, and drawing makes life so much better; in all ways possible. It’s my fix. And at least it’s a better one.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most happy and excited about my passion for creating. It’s tough but making art is the best. Personally am very proud about always being myself and true about not only creating , but organically flowing with & through my work. If it’s not fun then it’s forced. Working everyday to become better is what wasn’t easy. But it’s led me to be here now! Overcoming so much has been painful but still real awesome. Lessons learned are, to be true, peaceful and grounded about self to keep on Lastly, wanting the world to know that it’s all possible & already happening before our eyes. Never give up. Self expression is sweet. Thank you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Would definitely take them out for some coffee or drink at Caps and Drip. Plus taking them to see some random buildings and trains. Also, let’s never doubt the nature all around us. Most likely going to hike! And ride a bike watching all of the city and people. Super exciting to check out some museums, and checking out Flore Vegan. The last bookstore is great as well!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First off shout out to myself for never even thinking of giving up! Ever, whether I’m exhausted to the last bit of my existing core. My mother & family for showing me what strong & love is/ can be. Plus those closest to me, who have always been true and naturally genuine! They know who they are. Plus, all my teachers I’ve had in life; I love you all to death. So so grateful and rich with joy.
