We had the good fortune of connecting with Vincent Manzullo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vincent, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
For me, financially you have to ask yourself what are you trying to accomplish? What will make you satisfied? When you set a goal, make sure to keep in mind the cost involved in reaching that goal. Goals are small, medium or large.

For me, if you align your passion with your work ethic, you should always keep pushing. Giving up is not needed if you can find angles to improve your work and craft.

It is important to evaluate your finances and family in making decisions that align with your goals. The bigger the goal, the bigger the decision you have to make.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Much of my art brings awareness and consciousness to social injustice, oppression and racism. I value lyricism and the ability to bring realness with every line I write. I am honored to use a musical platform to speak to a bigger audience on this.

My 3 projects so far :

1) Mind Over Oppressive Decisions (2021)
2) 2 Realities (2022)
3) 90s Kid (2022)

In order to get to the point that I am right now, I had to take strong action. It was and still is not easy. But in order to make your art exist in the world, you must create it and that takes action not thought.

It also takes sacrifice. And personal choices must be made to get to what will make you satisfied.

In my opinion, the will and desire to take action is derived from passion. Passion can reveal itself at times you least expect. You must not let others get in your way of passion.

I want the world to know that for many, many years I dedicated talent, energy, resources and countless effort in the wrong craft and in the wrong direction.

That has changed now and it is motivating.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To hang out:

Venice Beach Skatepark

Griffith Observatory / Hollywood Sign

Lake Balboa/Anthony C. Beilenson Park

To eat:

Night + Market Song

Casa Vega

In my view:

Venice Beach Skatepark always has a variety of skaters and its great to see.

Getting as close to the Hollywood Sign as possible is a fresh experience and a nice enduring hike.

Reservoirs are nice because they provide a body of water and mountain type nature.
