Meet WALID NASSERDEEN | Angel Investor & CPG Operations Advisor

We had the good fortune of connecting with WALID NASSERDEEN and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi WALID, what do you attribute your success to?
A major factor behind my success is my deep-rooted commitment to understanding and aligning with my clients’ visions and objectives. Success as an operations advisor isn’t just about applying best practices or efficient modeling; it’s about recognizing and nurturing the individuality of each business I work with. I invest time in truly understanding the core of each business—their culture, their market position, and their aspirations. My practice is built on a foundation of trust and collaboration. I see myself as a partner in my clients’ journeys, not just an external consultant. I share in their challenges and celebrate their achievements as if they were my own. This approach has been the cornerstone of my success. This journey is about more than business growth; it’s about building, serving, and contributing to a narrative of the entrepreneurial spirit and dream. Every successful project, every satisfied customer, every milestone reached is a testament to the dreams we’ve helped shape. This is what drives me – the privilege of being a part of these extraordinary stories, helping entrepreneurs and businesses build their dreams into reality.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My inspiration for starting W.NDeen Advisory stemmed from recognizing a significant gap in the market for specialized demand planning services tailored to smaller consumer goods and CPG brands. With over a decade of experience in operations and demand planning with some of the largest brands in the world, I saw an opportunity to leverage my expertise to help growing startups optimize their operations and supply chain strategies so they can compete with the bigger players of their industry. I wanted to offer a service that would give them the operational planning and support that the larger organizations have through a cost-effective, fractional solution that could deliver the benefits of an in-house team without the associated overhead costs.
I wanted to create a consultancy that didn’t just offer generic advice but worked closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and aspirations. The vision was to offer a service that was not only about optimizing current operations but also about strategically positioning businesses for future success. We believe in a commitment to service and understanding of the unique challenges faced by consumer goods and CPG brands. Our approach is not one-size-fits-all; we tailor our services to each client’s specific needs, whether it’s conducting a detailed inventory audit, providing outsourced demand planning, or offering strategic S&OP leadership. Additionally, our focus on combining innovation with practical, actionable strategies ensures that our clients see tangible improvements in their operations and bottom line.
As for lessons learned, first, embrace the power of perseverance. The path for most things you will want in life will rarely be smooth, and challenges are inevitable. It’s important to stay resilient and committed to your vision, even when faced with obstacles. Remember, every setback is an opportunity to learn and grow. Second, prioritize building strong relationships. Whether it’s with your clients, team, or network, relationships are the cornerstone of any successful business. Foster trust, communicate openly and show genuine interest in the needs and goals of those you work with. These relationships will not only support your business but also enrich your personal life. Lastly, stay adaptable. The business landscape is constantly evolving, and flexibility is key to staying relevant. Be open to new ideas, listen to feedback, and be willing to pivot your strategies when necessary. Adaptability doesn’t mean losing sight of your vision; it means being smart about how to achieve it in a changing environment.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
