Hi Waylon, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My decision to embark on my entrepreneurial journey was motivated by my innate passion for process development, idea realization, aiding others, and problem-solving. While various occupations might offer opportunities to fulfill these individual desires, none quite compare to the fulfillment I find in running my own business. Overcoming failures, although not a preference, has been an integral part of my growth trajectory leading up to the present. What truly resonates with me about entrepreneurship is the liberty to pivot and attempt anew whenever necessary, a facet that empowers me to chart my course to success.

Clique Games stands at the forefront of the VR industry, intimately familiar with the challenges VR studios encounter when developing and marketing their VR titles. What truly sets us apart is our commitment to making VR publishing a seamless experience. Our approach is meticulously tailored to the unique needs of our clients, offering bespoke solutions that address every aspect of their journey. We’re not just publishers; we’re strategic partners, guiding our clients towards platforms that ensure maximum exposure, engaging the right audience, and alleviating concerns about lackluster sales.

Our story is one that’s grounded in humble beginnings. We started from the ground up, sharing living spaces and gaining firsthand insights as VR arcade owners. Our growth has been exponential, a testament to our unrelenting dedication.

Yet, our journey was anything but easy. We encountered obstacles stemming from various industries we previously navigated and were further challenged by the global pandemic. However, these hurdles became catalysts, pushing us to pivot towards an industry we’d never envisioned entering. Throughout this journey, we embraced a plethora of lessons. One pivotal insight was the importance of resisting distractions in favor of aligning with our core goals. Wasting time on superfluous pursuits only led us to refocus on what truly mattered.

Moreover, we realized the power of effective management tools and styles. Learning to streamline our operations and adhere to a management approach that resonates with our business proved indispensable. Holding ourselves accountable within this framework ensured consistent progress.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
An ideal day in Fort Wayne begins with satisfying your taste buds right away. You and your best friend head to McDonald’s for a breakfast that hits the spot: their delicious sausage, egg, and cheese bagel, complete with extra breakfast sauce. With your appetites appeased, the day unfolds with a blend of active pursuits and leisurely enjoyment.

For the morning activity, you have the option to choose between an engaging game of pickleball or a relaxing round of disc golf. Whether you’re competing on the court or enjoying the throws on the course.

After the morning’s physical activity, it’s time to treat yourselves to a delightful lunch at one of Fort Wayne’s upscale downtown restaurants. The flavors and ambiance come together for a truly satisfying meal.

As the afternoon rolls around, you will find me playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Tears of the Kingdom, or trying new VR games.

As the evening arrives, depending on the season, you might opt for one of the many outdoor festivals that Fort Wayne offers during the summer. Alternatively, you might find yourselves in the cozy ambiance of an outdoor restaurant or bar, embracing the city’s unique atmosphere.

For a full week, sprinkle in some more of Fort Wayne’s diverse attractions, from historical landmarks and cultural venues to nature trails, and some work, and you’ve crafted a week filled with fun and unforgettable experiences.
