Meet Wendy Amara | Founder and CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Wendy Amara and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Wendy, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
I disagree with the advice that what you need is more information, and that information is power.
You don’t need more information. There is tons of information already out there. We have a whole encyclopedia available to us at our fingertips through Google, through AI, through YouTube.
We are living in the information era.
There is plenty of information everywhere for anyone who wants to learn anything. If information was enough- you would have reached your Goal now.
What we need now more than Ever is not information but the ability to trust ourselves.
What we need more than anything is the ability to find our own truth, and use the information around us along with our own wisdom to build the businesses and lives we want.
It isn’t about you needing more information. It’s about you trusting the inner knowing you already have and taking action consistently from that place.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Transformational Life and Business Coach. What sets me apart from others is the way in which I do the Coaching. I transform my clients lives such that they become the people who reach their goals. This is different than simply coaching them on reaching their goals. We do end up reaching their goals and creating amazing results, but we do it from something I called Being work. Who you are BEING is the thoughts, you think the feelings you feel the beliefs you have about yourself, the intentions you set and the frequency of your vibration. It is at the CORE foundation of everything you do. If you Practice Being work, you can reach any goal. And the good news is your thoughts, your feelings, your beliefs, are all under your control.
This is what I teach my clients, and it has them take their life on and exponentially reach their biggest dreams.
But it wasn’t always like this. I haven’t always had this level of confidence. For most of my life I believed I had to follow the “A Game” which is go to school. Get good grades. Get a good career make consistently money, get health insurance get a 401(k) and buy a house. This is the plan my Guatemalan immigrant parents had for me.
And I followed that plan, thinking it would lead to happiness and peace of mind. But it never did. In fact it led to overworking, exhaustion, and burn out without feeling like I was making an impact.
And I see a lot of of fellow women of color experiencing the same thing
So in my late 20s, I figured out I needed to find a different way I found Coaching at a time when I was really depressed and anxious about my life. On paper, I looked great but in my heart, I knew I wanted to be make a bigger impact in the world and I desperately wanted the freedom of time.
Once I discovered Being work, everything changed for me. I was able to manage my emotions and thoughts in a way that allowed me to step into owning my power. I spent less time in fear and doubt and more time in, “Yes, I can.”
From that moment on, I knew I wanted to share the same tools with my entire community. I knew there were many other women out there who also felt like they didn’t fall into the cookie cutter success formula.
And I knew there were so many women wanting to activate their own Power. That’s what I now do for all of my students, both in my INSPIRED ACTION GROUP COACHING PROGRAM, And in my MASTERMIND GROUP. We don’t just change our lives. We transform into being the version of ourselves who creates the life we want. There is a difference.
I am clear now that I am meant to be a Change Agent for women to trust in themselves, and build the life they really want.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Bodevi Wine and Espresso Bar. They are in the city of San Fernando, Latina owned and are a really cool and cute hangout place. Plus, they have a good selection of wine, which I love.
And one of my favorite restaurants is Firefly in Studio City – I would for sure take my best friend there!
This restaurant makes me feel like I’m living in the Mediterranean and having lunch in Italy!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
