We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitney Cooper and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Whitney, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I know my balance has changed over time based on my priorities. I recently became a mom. Before that I worked full time, went to school and ran two businesses. Being a new mom as added more structure to my life.. Being able to have great time management skills and organization is key.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a project manager during the day. It was not easy getting into the field despite having an MBA with a minor in PM. I continued to position myself to be in the position to get the title I wanted. I was doing the work I just needed to be recognized for it. I have learned that it is about networking with the right people and life is about being a student all the time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Of course brunch! I love to be carefree and enjoy good food and conversation. We would visit pop up shops if there are any, explore downtown which has the most to offer including but not limited to the aquarium and museums.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God, Husband and Mom have all been apart of my journey
