Meet williams (Bytunde) Peters | Photographer, Videographer and Creative director

We had the good fortune of connecting with williams (Bytunde) Peters and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi williams (Bytunde), we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I always wanted to shoot and never thought about making money or going full time with it until I was being requested a lot by people that loved my eye. I then decided to quit my full time job December 2019

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My photography is just how I feel and how I choose to show that through an image, through the colors, positioning and lighting. I am proud about how quickly my photography has evolved and I am excited to see how far I can take it. I stuck to my style of photography and I basically created my own lane which I thrived in, that is why I am where I am today. It was not easy, as I had no basic training before I started shooting, and just learned along the way. I overcame challenges by powering through them and taking breaks. Breaks are the most important thing for me as I never try to force anything and I let it come organically and get to shooting when I am really ready. I have learned to never stop learning because acquiring knowledge never stops. Also I learned to be myself with my photography and let my work speak for me. I am big on being comfortable around me and being able to completely be yourself when shooting with me, that is what Bytunde Studios is all about.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love views so I would say the Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO (by the water). These places are relaxing for me. I gives me a chance to breathe and come up with new ideas. I do not eat out a lot so I’d probably go for some drinks at the up & up. Then some exciting things to check out are galleries in the cities and different exhibits.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely want to shoutout to my mom for getting me a camera, when I was just “thinking about it”
