We had the good fortune of connecting with Wilson Ramirez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wilson, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
You want to see the outcome. Whats on the other side of the door once I cross it? I am talking about a balance in your life and the distractions and difficulties that come with moving forward. There is days you want to quit and days you will double up for the days you wanted to quit. It is all a journey. You look back and you see the path you made and say “No matter what, I endured and succeded.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been an actor for 10 years now. Before that I was a rapper for 3 different groups in hip hop. When that chapter of my life ended I picked up acting. My first show I did, I was background for Sons of Anarchy and it took off from there. I told myself if I do this I go all the way with it. Hardwork and dedication is the recipe. Lots of classes and working with talented people to open you up to the art. The road is lonely at times but the experience is bar none.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a friend stopping by to visit from out of town I would show them Santa Monica Beach and Venice. I love the beaches out there. I would then hit the Eastside of L.A. and do a King Taco run. Maybe before we go to the beach I dont know. Depends on how I feel. Then, we can get fresh and clean and head to Hollywood,Ca. to check the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the nightlife. After that maybe hit kitchen24 for some grub.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly God my wife and children. They are my backbone. As crazy as I am. They have kept me balanced.
