We had the good fortune of connecting with Winter Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Winter, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have a lot of business experience prior to starting my own, so when it was time to open my own business, I was so excited to finally give my knowledge and time to my personal brand. My thought process included Making sure my business provided value to my starving crowd. I Aimed to provide quality service with integrity to as many people as possible. Being a “Jill of all trades” made that a detailed task as each of my talents require me to approach each business differently

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
SO, my art is Conscious Gangster (probably only to me) it’s like Bougie rap. I love music and I love expressing myself lyrically. I’m excited about where music is taking me, I’ve had to learn a lot on my own and I’ve learned so many ways to get paid as an artist and not that it’s about money but I’m excited that I can understand certain parts of the industry I’m interested in so I can have full access to anything. To get where I am today it was a slight challenge in a way that i had mental blocks to overcome. I didn’t have the necessary confidence; I went through some imposture syndrome. I overcame these challenges with Subconscious healing modalities, Hypnotherapy but the most impactful by far is a treatment called illuminations. Lessons I learned along the way was I was the thing i needed, My life was waiting for me to decide what i wanted and let that be ok for me. I want the world to know that my story Had ups and downs however nothing had the power to hurt me but me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
OMG. If she came to visit me, we would go to a different beach every day! I love Sante alley the vibes the food the clothes it has the feel of warehouse district in NYC! Ok ok so pick up at lax Head to Venice for Birria at tacos. then we could hit a hookah or go to the comedy club. We’d go to culver city mall grab toiletries the next day more food Santee alley head to a dispensary. get a rental drive the pacific coast highway. go for a boat ride.. this is all over the place. the week would be too .. Shes the planner

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly as I’ve grown to this place in my life I’ve had multiple mentors, love, and support systems. My father has an important role because his support and everything I’ve learned from him is a part of my old foundation. Emme Rain and Tasha Martrez and Last but not least Halimah Safir because each of these women have assisted in me building my new foundation of self which is why I am Allowing myself to experience this level of success.
