We had the good fortune of connecting with Wynter Alana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wynter, how do you think about risk?
I took a huge risk in 2020 when I decided to further my career by enrolling at Young Actors Space where I received top of the line on camera television training. I enrolled out of pure desire to become better at what I do. Even though I decided to enroll at the beginning of the pandemic, I gained access and insight specifically regarding commercial acting, television and movie theater. Ever since this experience, I felt a newfound confidence in my performance when acting and modeling. Studying at YAS allowed me to foster and nurture my skills during a time that was not so great. I believe I took a risk by pushing myself to grow in a new direction that forced me to be uncomfortable. When certain decisions make me feel uncomfortable, I believe that risk taking is worth the growth and expansion. I then gained the opportunity to be represented by LUXE Talent Agency in 2021.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
For the longest time I worked on building myself, and now I am a nail technician who focuses on women’s health & beauty with Minty Wynty Nails. My business consists of designing unique nail art that caters to each woman’s desires. I created this business in 2022 for working women who want to feel cute, yet complete daily tasks. Models like myself can apply Gel Nail Extensions for specific photoshoots and projects that I know will be off in two-three business days. This business was not easy to start because designing nails is a detail oriented task. I take my time when designing my sets and I think of my clients when creating them. To overcome any business challenges I ask myself what are the problems and what are the solutions? Because of this mindset, I learned that business includes nothing but learning opportunities! So far, I am proud of my first launch for Minty Wynty Press on Nails!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Los Angeles, California I would start by showing them around Manhattan beach, taking them to the Santa Monica beach boardwalk, and going to Malibu. I would like to show them the Hollywood sign and take them on my favorite hiking trails near the Griffith park observatory, Elysian Park, and Brand Park. I really enjoy eating, so I would love to take my bestie to Simply Wholesome, Catch LA, Millie’s Cafe, and Killer Noodle! I would love to shop so a beautiful day with my bestie includes going to the best malls in LA which include, The Village in Woodland Hills and The Grove. All of these areas are so fun because there’s food, shopping, and outdoor activities! At these places I have had the best time here in LA, and I highly recommend you going!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a special thanks and all of the praise to God. I want to thank my mom, who is my biggest fan, and my incredible family who is supportive of my career. Thank you, I love you so much!! Thanks to Indie Fashion, I had the opportunity to walk in Los Angeles Fashion Week with Jelaminah. I would like to give a special thanks to Jason Hilton at Luxe Talent Agency for believing in me and keeping me booked! I would like to thank Raven Wilson for inspiring me to keep pushing whenever I question myself. I want to thank Tiffany Skii for being the best designer and friend to me, Roy Valdez, Senya designs, Ken Rogers, Mahsa Azidhak, Kiki Wang Fashion, Michael Seri, Steven Means Photography, Jason Watson, Ethan Del Cid, and Koala’s Modeling Agency! Last but not least, I am so appreciative of all my friends and fans! Thank you for your support, it means the world to me.
