Meet Yardley Vergara Vianca Vega | Co-Owner/Original driller

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yardley Vergara Vianca Vega and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yardley Vergara, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of Swrlies is a combination of passion, persistence, and a dedication to quality. What started as a summer weekend gig has grown into a thriving business, allowing us to cater to multiple celebrities and corporations throughout Los Angeles and beyond.
From the beginning, my motivation as an entrepreneur has been to create a frozen dessert brand that delivers indulgence without compromise. By using real, organic fruits and ensuring our products are lactose-free, gluten-free, and free from added sugars, artificial colors, and flavors, we’ve built something truly special. Through hard work and a relentless focus on our mission, Swrlies has continued to grow—so much so that after four years in business, my business partner was able to leave their 9-5 job to work full-time at Swrlies. And in the next year, I will too.
Success hasn’t come overnight, but our commitment to quality, innovation, and listening to our customers has paved the way for Swrlies to become more than just a brand—it’s a movement redefining frozen desserts.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At Swrlies, we’re redefining frozen desserts with a family recipe that’s been transformed into a lactose-free, gluten-free frozen yogurt, made without trans fats or artificial colors. Our vanilla ice cream and frozen yogurt are drilled/infused with real fruits, creating a healthier soft-serve-style treat with an optional twist of Mexican-inspired flavors we’ve carefully crafted.
What truly sets us apart is the freedom to create—we give each guest full control of their drilling mix, allowing them to craft their own unique combination. This level of customization ensures every swirl is personalized, fresh, and one-of-a-kind.
We started Swrlies as a summer weekend gig, and through dedication and innovation, we’ve grown into a business that caters to celebrities, corporations, and dessert lovers throughout Los Angeles and beyond. One of our proudest milestones was seeing my business partner leave their 9-5 job to work full-time, and in the next year, I’ll be doing the same.
But none of this came easy. The journey was filled with challenges—breaking into the competitive food industry, perfecting our craft, and staying true to our vision. We overcame every hurdle through persistence, adaptability, and by listening to our customers.
The biggest lesson we’ve learned? Bet on yourself and your vision—relentlessly. There will always be doubters, but they’re just fuel for the fire. Passion, consistency, and a commitment to delivering something valuable will always win.
What we want the world to know about Swrlies is that it’s more than just a frozen dessert brand—it’s a movement. Every serving we’ve swirled has been for LA, for the dreamers, the hustlers, and the entrepreneurs carving their own paths. We’ve been closed to shutting down our business multiple times in the first three years, nearly lost our first cart and trailer at an event, injuries to our body from over working & lost communication from those that never saw our vision. With the right mindset and business partner a business can grow fast.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Primarily, I want to recognize my business partner/Fiancée (Vianca) for introducing me to her family’s real fruit Froyo shop in Jalisco, 2017, Swrlies would have not come to life without her plan and froyo recipe.
We dedicate our success and shoutout to every single individual who has supported our vision—and to those who didn’t, too. Every bit of encouragement, every challenge, and every doubt has fueled our drive to build Swrlies into what it is today.
From our earliest supporters who believed in us when we were just a summer weekend gig, to the celebrities and corporations who have trusted us to cater their events, and to our loyal customers who keep coming back for more—this journey wouldn’t be possible without you.
Each serving we’ve swirled has been for LA and for all the entrepreneurs out there chasing their dreams. The road hasn’t always been easy, but every obstacle has only made us stronger. To those hustling day and night to build something of their own, we see you, we celebrate you, and we’re right there with you.
