Meet Yasmine Perez | Owner of Salt Studio LA

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yasmine Perez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yasmine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process stemmed from the origin of the name itself! I aimed to choose a name with profound meaning. Everything I undertake holds deep significance. The name Salt Studio originates from the Book of Matthew, emphasizing the concept of being the “salt of the world.” Just as salt enhances flavor, your business enriches the world. We need more individuals like you* —young leaders and entrepreneurs. When I created Salt Studio, my goal was to establish something larger than myself, something that would benefit others. My thought process revolved around conveying a message that would assist others. I’m in the business of nurturing your business.
What should our readers know about your business?
We distinguish ourselves in the market by prioritizing relational equity over mere ambition. I am so proud of the relationships fostered through Salt Studio’s partnerships. Whether actively engaged with the brand or not, we maintain strong connections. Our clients continue to benefit from the systems I’ve implemented for their brands. Trust is paramount in the quest to develop your brand!
I’ve fell flat on my face more than once while attempting to navigate this journey alone. Overcoming the impostor syndrome that once made me sick, was possible by seeking wise counsel from those ahead of me, be it an advisor or mentor. People have the power to either uplift or undermine you. I’ve surrounded myself with individuals who uplift me!
Salt Studio was founded on the principle of assisting others because life is about serving others! That’s our story.

Are there any eateries or attractions you’d recommend to our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, where would you suggest they go?
I love this question so much because I adore my city. There are several areas in LA where you might find me and which I’d recommend to friends. The choice depends on the ambiance you’re seeking. For a relaxed vibe, consider Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, or Abbott Kinney. However, for friends aiming for a more upscale experience and a taste of LA nightlife, Beverly Hills or West Hollywood are ideal.
For dinner, I’d recommend Funke or Avra in Beverly Hills, or Butcher’s Daughter or Gjelina on Abbot Kinney! If you’re in the mood for coffee, try Maru or Avva Coffee in Beverly Hills, or Offset in Manhattan Beach. For fitness enthusiasts, I’d suggest John Reed in Santa Monica for an open gym, or Tunnels Pilates in Venice!

Who would you like to give a shoutout to?
I owe my current position to God and my circle of friends! I genuinely believe in the phrase “He has been so good to me.” My friends, whom I believe God has handpicked to be in my life, have played a significant role. I’m grateful for God’s presence in my life and for shaping me into who I am today.
