Meet Yuliya Kalbyka-Ciup | Elegance Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yuliya Kalbyka-Ciup and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yuliya, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve been in the states for 7.5 years, about 4.5 years ago it was unbearably difficult for me, I felt that if I didn’t change my life, I wouldn’t be able to cope further. I didn’t have anyone here at that time. I’m an emigrant. I gained strength and decided to do only what I like, allow myself to dream, follow my inner voice. I really wanted to become more feminine, I wanted beauty, brightness around me. I dreamed of becoming a real lady and marrying a gentleman. I had experience in modeling and teaching before, and I was thinking of opening a modeling school here, since I had already worked on various fashion projects as a coach. But I felt that this was not completely what I dreamed of. I started looking around to see what it was, what I was missing… And I found Elegance. I learned etiquette. and gradually became not only a modeling coach, but also an etiquette coach. I opened classes, started doing group and individual classes, then women’s meetings and my own shows. Of course, first I worked on myself, on my style, on my manners. I realized that femininity is my treasure, which I hid deeply. Elegance helped me rediscover this and served as a talisman for my femininity. Femininity and Elegance helped me survive in the states, become myself, organize my favorite business, get married and take mine to the level I wanted. And my journey continues!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a teacher of femininity and elegance! Femininity is a woman’s treasure that Elegance protects. Every woman deserves happiness! And to be happy, it is important for her to follow her feminine nature. Femininity is a set of feminine qualities, such as sensitivity, tenderness, fidelity, compassion, and caring. And Elegance is a way of life that helps a woman everywhere and always feel appropriate, confident, comfortable and free. Elegance is a demeanor, grace of movements, the ability to work with one’s external and internal beauty, environment, habits, hobbies and state of mind. I am happy that I have discovered and continue to discover new facets of Elegance for myself and other women. I follow my inner voice, learn to listen to myself, constantly learn, enjoy life and thank God for being where I am now. I do what I love and love what I do. It’s not always easy, but I know for sure I have to do my 100 percent. This is my responsibility to myself. I want to wish those who are thinking about starting their own business. If you are sure of what you want to do, even if at first it seems unrealistic to everyone around you, go ahead! know how to survive that moment when it seems that everything is already lost, this is important! take a rest, but not for long, find your places of strength, or what fills you, replenishes your reserves of energy and creativity, and keep moving. Study well in the field you want to go into, many have made mistakes before you, read about it and keep that in mind, you will find your own bumps too, but that’s ok. I consider each failure as a volume of work and next time I know what I will do. Believe me, you will cry with happiness when the next result comes. Good luck! I want women in the world to be flowers and men to be gardeners! I think this is so lacking now. The mission of my business: more beauty, femininity and elegance around us!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Chicago. But I’ve been to Los Angeles. Of course, this place has its own unique atmosphere. If I had the opportunity to spend time with my friend, the first thing I would do is go to the ocean. and spent the whole day there, filled with feminine energy from the big water. Coming up with new projects, dreaming big! I really enjoy visiting The Getty Villa. I would set aside one day to visit cinematography studios. If I were lucky enough, I would attend a networking event for the creative people who organize the show. There are simply a huge number of museums in LA, I would try to see as many as I could while wearing comfortable shoes. One earlier morning I would have organized a photo shoot in a chic fuchsia dress near the Public Art “Urban Light”. And one day I would do my folk performance in a wonderful place, for example, Griffith Observatory. I probably wouldn’t think much about food))

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank God, my family and friends for their support, faith and love! I want to say thank you to all my teachers who met along my path, all the people who gave me different experiences that brought me to where I am now. I thank everyone for their time, help, shelter and advice!
