We had the good fortune of connecting with Yvonne Nartey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yvonne, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
My core principle is to always listen for what God is saying in everything happening around me, as I believe there’s always an answer to why things unfold the way the do.

This very instinct led me to pursue what once seemed like just another passing thought, but it was, in fact, the beginning of the creative power within me.”

What should our readers know about your business?
My business partners and I started this venture with the goal of creating a venue that offers both indoor and outdoor spaces at a medium price point—not too large or too small. When I was searching for a wedding venue, I found that options were either too big or too small, too expensive with limitations like banquet halls, or too cheap and lacking uniqueness. What truly sets us apart is that KUE bridges this gap, providing a balanced and distinctive venue experience for our clients.

We are most proud of transforming an old, rugged warehouse into one of the most beautiful event venues in LA.

We’ve reached this point by staying focused on our original vision. Once bookings start coming in, it’s easy to lose sight of the vision and focus solely on the money. But it’s the vision that brought the success in the first place, and by continuously improving upon it, the revenue will naturally follow.

Nothing worthwhile comes easy because things that come easily are often let go without realizing their full potential. One of the keys to overcoming challenges is always going back to the passion that first inspired you to start the journey.

I believe I’ve shared many of the core lessons in the different questions already asked.

We want the world to know that nothing is impossible. If I may add, the most important part is with God—because He knows how to guide you through anything and help you excel in everything.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the beaches in LA, Rodeo Drive, various hiking trails, Universal Studios, and Hollywood. I also love history, and LA is full of it—especially spiritual history, like the Aimee Semple McPherson Temple, where God used an amazing woman to bring revival to Los Angeles. And of course, I’d include a few great restaurant experiences while they’re here.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
George Kakaire – Strategic Support Systems

George is the one who helped my business partner and me put our business plan on paper, dedicating his time through numerous planning sessions and guiding us on execution. He’s the type of person who would go over things again and again, just to see someone succeed and reach great heights.

So, shout out to George—everyone needs a ‘George’ when embarking on such a journey 🙂
