Meet Zabril Carey | Host Of Locked In The Podcast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zabril Carey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zabril, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is trusting the process and believing in yourself. You may go through ups and downs when your on the road to success. Always remember to separate detours from distractions. Distractions can lead you down a bad path and a detour can take you down a road/path to success that can help you reach new heights you never thought you could.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the CEO/Host of Locked In The Podcast which is a podcast I started to shine light on others in my hometown of Laurel, MD whether your an artist, athlete, business owner or simply just an entrepreneur. It wasn’t easy starting a podcast as my first episode was outside at a local community center I’ve been going to since I was in middle school. I’ve learned along the way that if you double down and bet on yourself success will come your way.

I want the world to know that Zabril Carey was a podcast host who was all about looking out for his people and peers around him. Whether that’s trying to get them more exposure while simply building up his podcast as well, as he is in the process of having his own talk show one day. I want people to also look at Zabril as an entrepreneur as I am branching off into doing creative things for example, I have a book that will coming out either early or late summer about my life as I want people to know my story as well as give motivation to the youth. I also am partnering with Dewaine Williams (OffDaHustle Clothing Brand) as we are currently working on a movie protect titled “Which Lane”. As far as the movie project I am tapping into my creative and directive side as me and Waine will shake things up with this movie! It’s definitely going to be a movie most of the people around me can relate to and learn from as we have a story to tell.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Laurel, MD is a town filled with talent. We have everything here from athletes, entrepreneurs and business owners. If I were giving a tour of Laurel I’d take them to the Laurel Towne Center to get food.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout my family and friends who are closest to me. They motivate me to reach higher levels of success I never thought I could reach. My parents have guided me in the right direction since I was younger, teaching me right from wrong and installing grit and hard work within me.
