We had the good fortune of connecting with Zach Craig and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zach, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting this business was simple. I can keep attempting keep my head above water or I can build a raft. I was already barely making it in a full time construction career, then on top of that my dog became deathly ill. She barely pulled through but it resulted in daily health issues that requires monthly vet bills. It wasn’t about just me surviving anymore it was about her too. When you start realizing that your future depends on what you do today, the way you think starts to change.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The creator market is very competitive, I think the main thing that sets you apart from others is your commitment, reliability, and personality. It’s not like a 9-5. it’s 24 hrs a day, every day.
The freedom of working for yourself is unlike anything Iv ever experienced. It’s a blessing.
I just hope to continue to be consistent with my growth and hopefully help others do the same thing in this field.
New clients mean new challenges, it keeps you on your toes but that’s how you grow. Just watch others that you look up to, study how they do it. take that and apply to your own work flow.
I just wants people to know that it’s possible to love what you do, to build something you care about and profit off of it. The risk is nothing compared to the reward.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I stick to the coast, anywhere from Huntington Beach to San Clemente is where you’ll find me
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I won’t over give credit without thanking God first, he’s blessed me with everything I have had, have and will have. My family for letting me move back home after being homeless for some time, and letting me build this business while getting on my feet.
The countless people that let me shoot them for free to get the momentum started.
The people/companies that Continue to hire me and support me as I grow.
