Meet Zadik Zadikian | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zadik Zadikian and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zadik, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
From the age of five, art has been my world—a source of wonder and expression, not commerce. Even now, I see art as a process of joy, a creative journey that brings depth to life rather than just a business venture.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is rooted in the exploration of structure, repetition, and transformation. What sets my work apart is my focus on universal principles—ideas like resilience, balance, and the interplay of energy and form. I work with gold, not just as a material, but as a metaphor for witnessing, purity, and permanence. Each piece, such as the gilded ingots in my “Path to Nine” series, represents the paradox of individuality within repetition: identical yet unique, simple yet profound.
What I’m most proud of is the journey my art has taken me on—both personally and professionally. Starting from a place of loss and uncertainty, I’ve built something meaningful. My early life under an oppressive regime shaped my perspective on freedom and expression, and escaping the Soviet Union at 19 taught me the value of risk and reinvention. That journey continues to inspire my work today.
Getting here wasn’t easy. I’ve faced loss—both material and emotional—such as the fire that destroyed my early work. Yet, those challenges became opportunities for transformation. Each setback forced me to reassess, to find meaning in the void, and to rebuild with greater clarity and purpose. Discipline, a love for what I do, and an openness to the unknown have been my guides through it all.
The greatest lesson I’ve learned is that persistence and passion are everything. Success isn’t about avoiding challenges; it’s about embracing them, growing through them, and finding beauty in the process.
What I want the world to know is that my work is more than art—it’s a reflection of universal truths. Through materials like gold and forms like the ingot, I aim to connect the individual with the infinite, creating spaces and structures that are as much about energy and emotion as they are about form. My story, and my brand, is about transformation: turning what seems simple into something extraordinary, and finding beauty in the most unexpected places.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Angeles Crest, Mount Wilson. Then, off to the beach near Zuma, some steamed muscles in garlic broth as a beautiful moment. Huntington Library to wander and steal some oranges in the hidden orchard.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My son Aram has been a huge part of the story.
