We had the good fortune of connecting with Zoe Trujillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zoe, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
That not every opportunity is a good opportunity. KNOW YOUR WORTH! People will try to take advantage of your talent, but the main thing is to always stay grounded to your intuition and know you are worth the PRICE and TIME.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been an artist ALL my life, whether it was drawing, painting, makeup, etc. I’ve always had an eye for art in many ways, but the one that really sparks my soul is makeup. I was in elementary school with smokey eyes and glossy lips like it was my DUTY. I just loved the way makeup would enhance my confidence.

It’s been a journey in my career. I started really pursuing makeup in highschool before I could even do it professionally. I was doing all the girls makeup for homecoming and prom. The hustle was always in me. The moment I graduated, my first goal was to become a MAC makeup artist. This was 2014. It was my first big accomplishment in my makeup career. I worked at MAC Cosmetics for 3 years, until I was 21. It was an amazing stepping stone, and I will FOREVER appreciate my chapter with MAC. I just knew if I wanted to level up in my career, I had to take the risk of leaving the company and working for myself. Let me tell you… I NEVER looked back! I started really promoting myself on all socials, which in the time was when social media was really taking off. I was dedicated everyday to my hustle, which created the consistent clientele I once wished for. Nothing in life is easy if it’s worth it. The one thing I can forever preach is DEDICATION AND DISCIPLINE. If you have those two, you are unstoppable in whatever craft you are in.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My bestfriend and I are all different types of vibes. We can go on a hike at 8am on a beautiful late September, early fall day. The BEST time of year in Vegas if you ask me. Which will lead us into going to lunch at Dirt Dog or AYCE Sushi at Sushi Neko. We LOVE to dance under the electric lights so catch us either at Area 15 or Downtown where the freaks are at night! 🙂

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to dedicate this shout out to my amazing beauty family in Las Vegas. We are ALL supportive of eachother and are always bringing business to one another. We all inspire eachother to be the best version of ourselves in our craft. I am very thankful for that.
