Pivot or Persevere?

To pivot or to persevere? Or more bluntly – to give up or to not to give up? This is a haunting question, a question that has ramifications far after an answer has been chosen and it’s also a question that almost everyone in our community has had to face at one time or another. How do you know when to give up and when to keep trying?

In pursuing a career in the arts—or maybe in any field in which your success is determined by a lot of factors outside of your own control—you’ll probably take a lot more losses than wins. But I’d say that if you ask yourself the question, “Would I rather fail at this thing than succeed at anything else”, and your answer is, “Yes,” then you really have no choice but to keep going. That is a tough question, I consider myself to be a spiritual person and one of the things I have learned during my journey is that I know deep down in my gut when something I want is good for me. Many people spend their whole lifes ignoring the clues their body is giving and that’s why those people tend to get involved in unwished situations without knowing why. Read more>>

Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “The barrier to success is not something which exists in the real world; it is composed purely and simply of doubts about ability”. I truly believe that the only thing holding us back from achieving success is self-doubt. If we believe we are incapable of accomplishing our goals we are manifesting failure.
