Pivot or Persevere?

To pivot or to persevere? Or more bluntly – to give up or to not to give up? This is a haunting question, a question that has ramifications far after an answer has been chosen and it’s also a question that almost everyone in our community has had to face at one time or another. How do you know when to give up and when to keep trying?

I got my SAG card in 1993. And I can assure you, there have been several points since then when I grappled with the decision of whether to persevere or perhaps redirect my efforts towards my Vision and Intention of being a working actor in film and television or… whether it was “time to pack it up” and try something new. It’s super important to have a support system that will speak truth, inspiration, and motivation into your life. When I was going through my low points, I felt so worthless and it took my family and friends to show me how far I’ve come and how much I have accomplished. I pursued a lifestyle and career of a artist ,painter and a chef , knowing how risky it all was it allowed me to be myself ,be creative. The feeing of giving back to community , to be apart of hospitality, and to be myself.
