We were fortunate to catch up with some brilliant artists, creatives and entrepreneurs from throughout the Houston area and they share the wisdom with us below.

I think I must have read Rumi’s “Gold”, translated by Haleh Liza Gafori, 5 times this past year. I always had an appreciation for mysticism and poetry but that specific selection of poems made me feel so differently about how and when to love and the holiness of it. His poems talk about the inner human experience and need to love while surrendering yourself to it. It inspired me so much that I even decided to make my entire thesis project on “Gold”. Read more>>

I think one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever made would have to be the choice to move the 3,000 miles across the country to follow my dreams here in Los Angeles. Moving was always something I wanted to do, since I was little I wanted to be an actress and be on the screen and make art for someone the same way I was inspired. I didn’t think this would be a hard decision, since I had always planned for it, but even the things you plan for can surprise you. Read more>>

The most difficult decision I ever had to make was leaving to go to Pace University in New York City after my mom was diagnosed with a brain cancer called Glioblastoma. She was diagnosed while I was auditioning for Musical Theatre programs in the United States and before going into my freshman year I wanted to stay home to spend as much time with her as I possibly could.
