The values and principles that matter

We’ve always believed that forming a strategy is impossible until you’re clear on what your values and principles are. Without values and principles to guide you, making decisions can seem impossibly difficult. Given how important setting values and principles is to decision making we asked folks we admire to tell us about the values or principles that matter most to them.

I think it’s so important to have strong values. Some of the things that matter to me are, being a person of their word, having integrity, being honest and treating people with kindness. These are some of the values instilled in me as a child, and still to this day I live by these values and always appreciate being surrounded by others that practice these things. Read more>>
Authenticity. The music we carry and the aesthetics and the cultural aspects we represent are things we grew up with and are part of us. It’s not just a business ploy but an actual representation of our upbringing and interests. The most important value to me is empathy, the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Empathy is how I stay connected to what matters most to me, people. It centers both understanding, and what already comes naturally to us, our “human-ness”. It doesn’t shy away from my imperfections, instead empathy helps me embrace them. Read more>>
My principles and my values are centered around honesty, integrity, and my connection with others. my music stands out a reflection of my life, as I create and recreate myself. Every note and lyric gives strength to my integrity, reflects my emotional awareness, exposes my vulnerabilities, bears witness for and to testify to my willingness to be open. My relationship with music has played a pivotal role in the development of my core values as a human being, and inspires me to let go and allow my intuition to inform me as I continue to develop my voice as an artist.
