We had the good fortune of connecting with Urael B. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Urael, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important elements in my success has been, and will always be, an unmatched work ethic and divine insight. I strongly believe that the root of any success is the amount of work and intentional energy you put towards your goal. That’s what you have to make a top priority in the journey to your goal. Once you’re committed to putting in the work, the divine insight is what helps you navigate in route to success. As hardships, obstacles, and everything arise, developing the ability to see beyond those issues and stride toward your goals is what has set me apart. Growing up, I’ve watched many people close to me unfortunately get caught in cycles of hardships that deterred them to the point of no return. Divine insight is not only about seeing beyond your problems and trusting what’s far out there to come, but it’s also about lookin within and remembering that this path to greatness is meant for you and will evolve and grow with you to be greater than you imagined.
What should our readers know about your business? We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about.
Growing up all over LA allowed me to experience different people, situations, and different vibes. As a kid, you start off as a sponge, soaking up all that’s around you to create who you see yourself as. What sets me apart is that I was able to survive a lot of difficulties by learning to decipher what I should just observe, versus what I should absorb. Operating like that quickly made me much wiser than some of my peers and got me more in tune with the universe. When you experience my work, you can feel all of that; You can feel the joy, the pain, and lots of the knowledge from all my lessons that I’ve gained. My music and art embodies the reality I share with others, but from my perspective. I’m an LA artists who exudes a style different from the status quo of what LA artists are known for, but I still provide the unmatched confidence and swag LA artists will always have. So best believe you can spend the rest of your life vibing to all of my songs cause they sound great, and because they’ll have so many messages that you’ll grow with the art and innerstand it the more and more you listen to it.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
We gotta hit up Lemeirt Park. That’s a must to kick it there; The Heart of my ancestors resides there heavily. It’s so rich in black culture in all aspects: Food, music, art, hospitality, etc. Of course the beach is something everybody from out of town wanna come to. The beach, and Roscoes, but only on Pico or Manchester away from the 405. LA is known for a lot of different things and areas so we might hit up Hollywood and around Fairfax/Beverly Hills just show that side of LA. But yea, all over Inglewood and the Crenshaw District is where it’s at; The love outweighs the angst and violence.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, my mom has been a strong force in my journey and career. I appreciate the great example of self sufficiency and working hard to achieve everything you need she set for me. I also need to shout out my ancestors that guide me in my path to greatness I’m on. The final shoutouts go to my partner and the whole RTR family and squad of talented creatives who combine their visions for this greater purpose we all want to achieve. We are the artists and creatives who will bring back the Golden Era of music and entertainment in this decade that will forever be remembered.
