We had the good fortune of connecting with Vicki Cooper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vicki, what do you attribute your success to?
Integrity and trust are two factors that contribute to ecologica skincare of Malibu’s success. In the highly competitive beauty field, trust is imperative. For ecologica skincare of Malibu, I’ve spent years carefully sourcing the highest quality ingredients for our formulations. It’s a painstaking process and can be timely and costly, but it’s worth it to make sure we get it right. Customers trust that they are receiving the best and most effective ingredients for their skin and that the ingredients are cruelty free and truly all natural. I cherish the trust and reputation we have built with our clients and consumers. They trust ecologica because we do not make empty promises and they see real results with the products.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
For more than thirty years, skin care has been my life’s work. I’m constantly looking to create products that my clients need and want. Most recently that has been with the creation of our non-toxic, organic natural sunscreen. We call it the “healthy sunscreen” because it isn’t loaded with synthetics and chemicals like many others- it took years of work to bring it to market. I always want to further develop things with the belief that skin care products should emulate the body’s own chemistry and work in concert with, not in conflict with the body’s matrix.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Zuma Beach is one of my favorite places in Malibu to meditate and just relax/clear my mind. Geoffrey’s restaurant in Malibu is my favorite go-to restaurant and really showcases the beauty of Malibu. I love to bring out of town guests there. I also recommend the Westlake Village Inn for a drink, meal, a staycation, or spa day. You can even get a few signature ecologica skincare of Malibu treatments when their new expanded spa opens!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my family, clients and friends who encouraged me to follow my passion and continue to support me, but particularly my mother who told me that I could do or be anything I wanted.
