What are you ultimately striving for?

We asked rising stars from the community to open up to us about their end goal. We asked them where they want to be, professionally, by the end of their careers and have shared some of those responses below.

This is an interesting question because it states a defined end goal. I think, as an artist, the path is more important. I create and learn each and every day and I’m really thankful that I can have a career that allows me to grow as a person. I suppose I would say that a short term goal would be to do my art (oil painting) full-time without the need to supplement income from other places. What’s really fascinating about my job as an actor is that this is an ongoing journey and adventure – You never know where your career’s taking you, and that truly is the best part. And it has allowed me to stay passionate and thrilled about the future, the next adventure that I’m going to take, the next character’s life that I’m going to live. And so, instead of giving that journey a destination, I’d rather spend my life exploring all the possibilities, not fearing getting too far from the main road – To put it another way, I want to try all different flavors of chocolate in that box of “life”. I don’t want to be a professional in the long run, I am building an empire, so my goal is to do all the work now, while enjoying the fruits of growth and then fully enjoy the empire, while i have it run by some amazing professionals.
