Hardwork? Luck? Good habits? What would you say is behind your success? We’ve shared some thoughtful responses below.

The success for us is in the name. Slide Thru is a name that provides the action item of coming by, and through that action item, we are able to build community. Which, for us, was the most important thing we could provide to the emerging LA creative scene. A place where you can feel like you’re at home while being away from home with like-minded individuals. Being that we are both passionate about music, community, film, and creativity, we can leverage our passions to create an environment that channels that and brings people together who care about those things as well. The most important factor behind my success, is discipline, consistency, and the practice of being intentional. I began to incorporate these practices around the age of 19-20, when the pandemic hit. The pandemic was a wake up call for me and I believe for others, to pursue what they’re passionate about because we’re only given one chance to do so. Perseverance has always been a factor behind every project and journey I’ve ever experienced. Sometimes, the only person in the room who believes in the project is myself, and that is my power. I don’t pretend to be someone I am not nor follow the heard, sometimes, it’s better to create that new path, a new road where I know in my heart, this is where I belong. And it is from this unknown place where I find new worlds, a new canvas, and I honestly continue to ask questions about theatre, about life, about love, about who I am in relation to those around me and of course, to the universe. I always strive to progress in my craft and there’s so much more I want to do but, I think what’s led me to where I am now is simply just believing in me. Not afraid of stepping out of my comfort zone and always being open to learning more. I know there’s always room to grow.
