“Follow your heart.” I disagree with this advice. I think it has led to more destruction, misery and confusion than anything else. I’m a Christian and my Bible tells me that “the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” (Jeremiah17:9). The belief that our feelings determine what is true and what is right has led to most of the problems we are suffering in this post-modern era.
