Balancing work and life can be so tricky. I’m always trying to keep up with my friends, fam, hobbies, relationships, and hustle hard to make a living and support everything. In the past, I’ve struggled to find the right balance and ended up essentially ghosting on my health and relationships just to chase a life of art. Read more>>

Jasmine Anderson | Travel Agent & Podcast Host

My balance has drastically changed over the years of my career. I originally was a victim of the “hustle culture” where I thought I had to grind 24/7, check off one goal just to move on to the next… I would go from my day job straight to gigs then home to be on the computer for hours before bed. I gave myself no grace for all of the hardworking I was doing and the things I was accomplishing. I’ve found that creating allows me to express myself and recharge, which ultimately makes me a better parent and artist. Though it’s not always easy, I’m grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passion and be present for my family. Read more>>

Mikayla Khramov | Musician

This Hello Roses project has been a breath of fresh air for me. I work full time and gig every weekend, so the thought of recording, releasing, and promoting a new musical project felt overwhelming at first. Now, I am grateful I took that first step at following my gut feeling, and my gut was telling me to just put it out there. Read more>>

Rebecca Caputo | Co-Founder & COO of Rif Care

I used to be all about work hard, play hard mentality. There is this grind that becomes intoxicating with a constant need to be productive, ambitious and competitive. I don’t know if it was school that taught me this or just growing up in LA, but I know now that it’s not sustainable. Constantly grinding will tear all the flesh from my bones and leave me nothing but a burnt corpse. (Dramatic but you get the picture). Read more>>
