We had the good fortune of connecting with Tn Noelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tn, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
I had to learn a long time ago that happiness is a result of what is happening and once that thing is no longer happening, the happiness is gone. So although things like spending time with my husband, my day one, my bestfriend…spending time with God in the Word, watching sports, cleaning, writing music, baking and playing video games make me happy, I care more about joy. That’s something no one can take away and is a choice.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a singer/song writer/dancer and I can’t put any of those 3 to the side. My music is uncategorized because it’s not biblical enough to be Gospel and not vulgar enough to be pop/Neo or other any other non Gospel genre. And I’m ok with that as long as I can be me. It is exciting when I hear a finished song. It’s almost like I didn’t just write the dang thing. lol. I have struggled with so many insecurities and never really had anyone there to help me to deal with them before they became roots so I hid my creative side when it came to singing because I was too afraid of the positive or negative attention it might bring. I finally came to a point with prayer, allowing God to work in that area and my husband, that I was going to just do it; record songs I had written and be me as best as I knew how. It was extremely difficult and even today, when I hear someone listing to one of my songs or even talking about it, I want to run and hide. I overcome that fear by reminding myself of who I am in Christ, that perfection is not attainable on earth, and it’s okay to be seen. I have learn that as hard as I try in my head, I can’t hide, people see me, I don’t live in a bubble, and it’s ok. There is not much I think people need or want to know about me but it helps to know that I am an introverted extrovert so don’t take it personal and I only speak when I need to, laugh when it’s funny and I suck at “politicing”.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh, no. This is a hard one. I am such a homebody. I like the idea of traveling or being out but always want to go back home once I get there… same for going any place locally. I generally don’t like crowds. I go to Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, church, and home.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have been told that I am a great song writer but I truly, truly mean it when I say can’t be anyone but God bc I’m not that good. :). I give credit to my husband who doesn’t only inspire me by the example he sets, but he pushes me, he encourages me, he is not afraid to tell me the truth even if it won’t feel good and he has my back like no one, not friends or any family. He’s been such a big presence in my life since day one that not having the support of family or people who claim to love me is no longer a factor.
