Meet Na’imah Metoyer: Licensed Esthetician & V-Steam Facilitator

Hi Na’imah, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Self care is a value that matters most to me. My mom used to always recite the quote “Self preservation is the first law of nature” to me. It took me a while to understand the value of what that really means, but now I get it. I feel that every human being on earth should take time to unplug and fully relax their mind and body at least once a week. Doing so will help you find balance and peace, which will ultimately improve your health and wellness overall. It is very important to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself before anyone else. Once you have a fulfilling relationship with yourself you can then give to others. You can not pour from an empty cup. I always encourage my clients to choose whatever is good and nurturing for their well being because self care is very personal to each individual, as well as intentional.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My businesses are Pristine Esthetics Beauty Bar and Pristine Yoni. I offer facials, backcials (facial for your back) Vajacials (facial for vagina) and full body waxing. My most popular services are Brazilian Waxes and Facials. The esthetician industry is very competitive, however I believe what sets me apart from others is how personalized the experience is to each individual client, and also my prices. I don’t feel self care should break the bank, so my prices are very affordable. Since it is a one on one experience I let my client’s choose or play their own music during their facials. I want them to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible for the hour that they’ll be there with me. I educate my clients on their skin and the products I’m using as I’m doing their facial. I also have a way of making clients feel very comfortable when i am waxing them as well. Most of them are nervous so i talk to them throughout the process to put their mind at ease.

Pristine Yoni is all about Womb Wellness and vaginal health. I am adding a service to my menu, which is V-Steams, a term that is short for Vaginal Steaming. It is an ancient holistic remedy for cleansing the vagina and uterus. It can also help regulate menstruation, and address other issues such as cramping, hormonal imbalance (pcos, pms) and infections (BV, yeast infections). This service will be available in the near future. I am working on creating the perfect experience for my clients with this service. I am also working on developing feminine hygiene products under the name Pristine Yoni.

I got to where I am today by having faith and believing in myself and just simply going after what I want. The only challenge I’ve faced so far was self doubt, once I overcame that everything has been flowing smoothly with my business.

I want the world to know that I am very dedicated to my clients and my brand. My character is very genuine, loving and caring. I am an advocate for self care and self love. I want the world to know that my brand is all about helping others feel like their best self. Beauty, health, and wellness are very important. When you look good you feel good.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I probably would take them to Universal City walk. It has always been one of my favorite places to hang out for a whole day. There’s plenty of places to eat and drink and there’s even places to shop there, and I personally like all of the lights and the set up. I live in Los Angeles County so there is a plethora of places to go eat , I feel we have some of the best food spots. I’d definitely take them to the beach, which is another favorite hangout spot of mine. I would also plan a day strictly for relaxing and go get a massage, pedicure, and manicure.
