Meet Anthony Kreed: Hiphop artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Kreed and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always loved performing in front of people, but I feel as I gotten older writing and expressing is my outlet for what I can’t express through myself. It is a way of letting out my inner thoughts whether they are positive premonitions or insecurities I have. It’s my very own therapy. So through my own thoughts or beliefs hopefully it resonates with others listening and helps them through a tough time like it does for me. That’s what is my ultimate goal
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’d like to to think what separates me from others is my ability to adapt and change throughout my career. It’s been a long hard and sometimes rigorous journey. Growing up in my early years in New York it was hard to break in and have people really listen. The only thing that made me stand out early while I was finding myself was battle rapping. I excelled at that early on. Once I moved to Los Angeles in 2005 is where I starting coming into my own as an emcee and artist. I never gave up and I never will.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First off I would take em to roscoes chicken and waffles in LA. That’s the first place I ever eaten in my 16 years in Los Angeles and it’s a must go to. There are plenty of spots to check out live music out here also. Next I would take them to old town pasadena and head to Amigos restaurant on colorado blvd for pregame drinks. Then head a mile down to old town and enjoy the many bars and establishments there. If you’re staying the whole week you could either head down the coastline and visit San Diego which is beautiful and also has a great scene of music there. Or you could to Las Vegas which is only 3 1/2 to 4 hours away for a quick turnaround trip of gambling and fun. Of course you have plenty of beaches in Southern California from Costa Mesa to Huntington Beach to the legendary Venice beach. The fun is endless
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family. They have supported me from day one even when having a career in music is always a low percentage of success. They have always been in my corner when it comes to following for my dream. Them and my close knit circle of people I stay with. They keep me grounded yet still keep my striving when I hit a creative wall.
