Meet Kate Hallam | Model/Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kate Hallam and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kate, what do you attribute your success to?
Dedication towards your craft, I’m a big believer in Discipline and staying by focused. There are so many ‘distractions’ in today’s very fast life that it’s good to keep your head down and focus on your career and not lose sight in doing what you love. You really can achieve anything you dream of with that willpower and dedication!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a British Actress and Model based in Malibu and England, I am a Brand Ambassador for Worldwide company Advanced Hair Studios who are amazing for Quality Hair Care! Their CEO Carl Howell really has a great vision for what people want with their hair, both men and women and mine looks and feels fantastic thanks to hem esp for shoots I’m set to go.

I’m an actress and love my craft so much, I am also a Bass Player (I’ve played with The Beach Boys) at the Royal Albert Hall in London also at the prestigious Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and I work with The Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust helping raise awareness for Leukemia Sufferers encouraging people to join the Bone Marrow Registry to give a Leukemia sufferer a chance of finding a bone marrow match.

I was awarded a Bravery Award from the queen and house of commons as I saved my brothers life with a Bone Marrow Transplant when I was 14years old, he needed a perfect bone marrow match as he was suffering WITH Leukemia, thankfully I was a perfect match to him and our Transplant was a success and thankfully cured my brother.

I think seeing Disease at an early age really puts things into perspective for me to not waste what you have got and just get out there and shine your spirit. It sought of woke me up early on to do what you love and not stop or shrink yourself down to suit others.

We should really just celebrate who we are and resonate with like minded people. I’m a former PA to well known deceased Film Director Michael Winner of those 80’s classic movies ‘Death Wish’ movie fame and I think it was working for him that gave me the drive to do what I love and live the dream! I was fortunate enough to meet and spend time with some acting greats through him, Michael Caine, John Cleese, Roger Moore to name but a few and their guidance to this industry was golden.

I’m most proud of my family who are the foundation adding to what fuels my strive, I just think we are in such a big wide world and I love how one job can take you to somewhere totally new with amazing encounters. Being Creative I’m grateful for as I never could just do a desk job, I Love to audition and act for tv and film and the different places you get to see with that.

I’m a former cover girl for ‘Take a Break’ Magazine and most of the British press as a model, these days IM based more in LA which I love and the work opportunities here are very exciting, especially in the direction of acting which I most enjoy and want to pursue.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Favorite spots?! Love Nobu Malibu lots so that would definitely be a hangout,
I’m a Member of the Soho House and that’s always great for like minded creatives out there! Also I would take them to the Saddle Peak Lodge in the mountains too, love that vibe for a more relaxed brunch maybe.
Always love to head off to Tahoe for a break and the drive along the way is always fun especially if you stop off at Area 51 and The Little Ale’inn hotel 🙂

A big shoutout to Maverick Hill! Who’s a Singer/Songwriter and just such a focused person, he has been a great encouragement to me for years with my work.
