Meet Linnette Harrigan: Music Supervisor / Publisher /Tech Innovator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Linnette Harrigan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linnette, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?

Music was all around me growing up.  I learned and gained much appreciation for music and entertainment from very young.   I also come from a musical family, which includes a famous cousin, who was the late Jazz singer Jon Lucien (Harrigan).

In addition, I believe it was my early experience as a singer/songwriter and past work at such companies as Sony Music Entertainment, Mercury Records and Polygram where I worked as a Promotions assistant.   I had huge opportunities to work for such music icons as Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie and at ASCAP music licensing which all led to my present career in music supervision and publishing.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Linnette Harrigan Media Inc.  is a creative music service agency focused on music supervision, licensing and publishing for TV Film, Radio, Web series and  more based in NYC since 2009.

We work with both Major and indie productions providing producers and filmmakers with music content, soundtracks and services to help them save time and  to  increase sales and business for their projects. Television projects include( “POWER” on STARZ), Films (“PREMATURE”), Video Games (“STEEP”), Web (“RHONDA MITCHELL MD”), to name a few.

Among  most recent accomplishments, I am also creator of the online music & media platform and mobile app “ ELEVATE YOUR MUSIC ™ (Now available on Google Play for Android and Apple App Store for iPhone / iPad) .

The application was designed specifically to ensure that original and affordable music content can be accessed by producers, editors, filmmakers and music supervisors who can now search for, listen to and select music on the go.

Music tracks featured on the app are all pre-cleared and from the library of Linnette Harrigan Media Inc. They are ready for use in any media production.

Indie music creators may also use the app in order to submit original music for placement considerations, find tips and courses to strengthen careers and for live streaming performances.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

As a native New Yorker,  my company and I are always involved in music performances and events happening  throughout the city, outdoors and in theaters.
