We had the good fortune of connecting with David Yaghootian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
My career has taught me to not rush to the end destination. Enjoy the journey because if you don’t it will set you back. Rushing to the end destination isn’t always the fastest route to success. You never know how many opportunities can open up during your journey. It can branch off to many different life paths. You soon tend to realize that you learn the most through the journey, not the destination

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I got into this business young, it’s something that everyone should strive to do in my opinions. No matter what field or business you choose to own or work at. Make sure you are committed and giving it your all. It’s the work ethic that sets people apart. Having an inner fire has made me successful. It’s the drive and dedication that makes one successful. I want people to know that it’s never too late and it’s never too early. As long as you have the passion and drive, your peers and others around you will see that.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
My favorite spots in the city have to be Glendale, Malibu, Beverly Hills. It’s a perfect combination of the suburbs, the city, and the beach. There is a restaurant called Home Restaurant in Los Angeles which is one of my favorite places to go for drinks and food. They have great food, customer service, and a great ambiance. I also love going to Castaway Restaurant that is located in the mountains of Glendale and Burbank. It oversees the city and you have a 180-degree view of Glendale and Burbank while you enjoy your food.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many people I’d love to shout out. I choose not to mention names due to their privacy concerns. I can name one person who was there from the beginning, his name is David Valla. He’s been a mentor since the first day I joined this industry. Even though he retired recently he still helps me and guides me through whatever I may need. My mother has been a big support since day 1 as well. The car industry isn’t the only field I have interest in nor is it the only thing that I am involved in. My mom is always involved in my own business ideas, real estate, strategies, and plans. Since the last time Voyage interviewed me I am getting closer to my restaurant idea being finalized to turn into something tangible and visible. Shoutout to my lovely girlfriend who supports whatever it is that I do. It’s not easy to find people, have them support you, and be there for you. Once you find those people, don’t take them for granted. It’s nice to have people that care for you give you a different perspective and insight. Having loving individuals by ones side makes a huge difference.
