We had the good fortune of connecting with Aye Sincere and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aye, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make was to drop out of college to pursue a career in music. Giving up a scholarship and marketing degree to pursue what I love most and proving to myself and my parents that I did not need college to be a success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My stage name is Aye Sincere. I am an independent artist / musician / song writer from San Bernardino, CA. I grew up in church and self taught myself to play bass while being surrounded by gospel music in my church and hip hop in my home. My dad is a Spanish rapper / battle rapper that introduced me to G-Unit and Aftermath at an early age. I believe what sets me apart is my range and ability to adapt to different sounds. Influenced by so many different genres of music, I’ve learned over the years how to utilize all the sounds into my own personal sound of Hip-Pop music. I started off going to local open mics at the age of 16 and rapping at school during lunch. By the time I finally finished my first mixtape, I started learning how to sell and market myself as an a young artist. The preparing myself to transition from a young artist to a mature artist. I spent years going to open mics and local hip hop events observing other creatives, even some I consider to be family today.
With that being said, it definitely wasn’t easy being one of the youngest artists in the local scene because not everyone is going to take a teenage rapper seriously, where it can almost be compared to being a novelty act. But, I persevered and spent three years after high school working on music and performing and eventually hosting the very shows I would go to on a weekly basis.
The thing I am most proud of in my journey and art is my ability to learn and grow with every step.
Every challenge I have seen over the years I have been able to overcome. From needing money for college to getting a music scholarship to giving p that very scholarship to pursue a career in writing and performing music.
What I want the world to know about my story is that I do my best to share my life lessons. personal or business related. I do my best to be sincere and transparent in my art and my abilities.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were to be visiting me we’re visiting all my favorite breakfast spots and coffee shops. Each day would be focused on good food, company and energy.
Visit places like Carolyn’s Café. McDuff’s, Condron Coffee Shop, Life Coffee Roasters, just to name a few.
In the Inland Empire, the most fun and interesting places come from all local businesses. Bars, Clubs, restaurants, etc. There is never a dull moment because those places are filled to most genuine people you can ever meet.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A huge part of who I am and my success comes from the Inland Empire, The IE. Being born and raised in San Bernardino, I was already born into one of the most creative and hungry regions in the world. Shoutout to the IE for always loving, supporting and pushing me to become the best artist and businessman I could be. Everything I know comes from different parts of the IE, especially my family from The Common Ground.
