We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Pineros and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniel, is there something you believe many others might not?
Work smart not hard – Even tough the principle of this advice is for people to think of efficient ways to do work, I don’t agree with the second part “Not Hard”. It’s essential to do hard work in order to get anywhere, in fact, I believe that’s the only way you can get anywhere. However, I think the hard work should be smart.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This journey has not been easy at all. I’ve been in situations where giving up and changing careers seemed like the easiest choice. Those were the hardest moments. In four different times I’ve thought about going back home, leaving all of this behind, and working on a business not necessarily related to my industry but with the potential to give me more money in the short term. I’m proud of staying positive during the hard times and of not giving up, I’m proud of my resilience not only in the good times, but specially when things are at its hardest.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For me, one of the most fulfilling activities is to go to places surrounded by nature. There’s certain peace about it that makes you feel empowered. So I would definitely start with going to a national park, a hike, a waterfall or a body of water. I also feel that road trips are a great way to travel as you get to see the real side of a place. It’s not about the touristic stuff designed to attract money, but about the authentic small little places. There’s a certain magic to those. Also, the connection and memories created during road trips are incomparable. It’s also good to clear your mind sometimes by engaging in fun activities that require no effort and are pure leisure, like enjoying a night out at a local spot, or laying on the beach with the only purpose to keep your mind at peace.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely Simon Brand from Kree8 Productions, my mentor. And Kwaku Otchere / Enrique Mendoza, great creative partners.
