We had the good fortune of connecting with PEER Entertainment Group and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hello PEER Entertainment Group, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
PEER’s mission is to be a conduit to culture. We represent for the culture through our clients. PEER was created to bridge the gap between talent and industry professionals. We create access and opportunities for talent to collaborate with said industry professionals and foster partnerships that transcend traditional industry boundaries.

Often times, artists and talent have the qualities and talent that they need to be successful, but they aren’t given opportunities to be in the necessary spaces with industry professionals to be able to showcase their talents and put themselves out there in these important spaces. This is where PEER comes in. We will put talent in the spaces with these industry professionals so they are able to create the necessary relationships and partnerships and go far in the entertainment industry. In addition to this, we also strive to educate talent about what their contracts mean so they are aware of what they are signing, good deals and bad deals, and language they need to look out for.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
PEER was founded by young, Black professionals, specifically entertainment attorneys. Our business will include creativity, education for the community and the fostering of partnerships between talent, community, the youth and industry professionals. The biggest challenge so far has been juggling day jobs in the legal industry and also finding the time to put toward growing PEER. While this will continue to be a struggle for now, we’ve learned that having complete organization amongst ourselves will help tremendously. PEER wants the world to know what we’re coming in strong and we’re so ready and excited to foster partnerships and relationships between talent and industry professionals.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
