We had the good fortune of connecting with Antonio Ramsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antonio, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
While there have been many difficult decisions as I am Libra, the most difficult was moving from Atlanta to Los Angeles. I was leaving a very comfortable place to step into the unknown.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When it comes to my art I can definitely say it’s a gumbo of soul, sex & real life. Topics i sing about range from being broke and just trying to make it to payday to wanting to be with your ex who is now married. Topics more than just a handful of people can relate to. The thing I am most excited about is my debut album. I have released a couple of small EP’s but this next body of work will be my proudest moment. I started in this industry as a background dancer & in a group named “full-out”. The transition from dancer to artist felt natural because the spotlight always felt right to me. It was the work to become the artist I wanted to be that would be the hard part. Trying to find studios, trying to pay for videos, trying to find people to write with it was a lot. But if you want it, you’ll go get it! Things I have learned on my journey are to always trust your gut and never doubt yourself. Also, a team matters! The thing I want the world to know about Antonio Ramsey and my story is to never wait on anyone to validate your dreams and you got this ish!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Now, this question is going to through me for a loop, haha. The crazy thing is since I’ve moved to Los Angeles, party boy Antonio has been hibernating a little bit. I go to the SAME couple of spots all the time. For breakfast, you have Blue Jam Cafe. This spot will change your life! (insert drool emoji). But in Cali, everybody loves to go to brunch, so I had to find the dopest spot. In my opinion, Fratelli Cafe is the best in the city, so this would work too. Then to walk off the food, I would take my crew to Runyon canyon for a dope hike overlooking Cali! A couple of other food places throughout the week would include Korean BBQ, some great food trucks, and available that week. LA taste of soul! As far as hanging out, It’s Cali the beach is always a go-to! But outside of the obvious, LA’s nightlife is always a vibe. From the continental club to party to the mint for live shows. A week in LA is easily packed with a good time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
While there are too many to name, I would like to dedicate this Shoutout series to my management company, ENTmcllc & Manager Ziggy. When I was getting “no’s” left and right regarding my music, ENT saw something unique in me. They believed I could be more than just a singer & entertainer. Fast forward, and we’ve headlined our own tour, have been blessed to open up for my all-time favorite artist Fantasia & have had my single “Nights in Malibu” Spin on the radio! From Atlanta to the West Coast, ENT has gotten me into my first short film featured on Amazon Prime. There is no limit to what I can accomplish with my management team/family in my corner.
