We had the good fortune of connecting with Artese Tomlinson Stuart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Artese, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
My name is Artese. I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. I come from a family where I was surrounded by many entrepreneurs and hard working women. I’m a strong believer in leading by example and leadership was what I witnessed as a child. Work ethic, integrity, strength are all important aspects of entrepreneurship and I had awesome models of that. Naturally, I followed suite.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Running a business is far from easy. It’s actually one of the most challenging tasks I’ve ever had to do. Risk taking, the mental challenges and financial loss make it difficult. Ironically, to overcome the challenges you have to take those risks, spend that money, invest in yourself and your business to make it better or easier to manage. I wanted to start a boutique years prior. But I wasn’t confident. Fear held me back. You’ll never know how great your story will be if you dont start writing it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband is my biggest supporter. He’s everything! I honestly probably would’ve given up hundreds of times if it weren’t for him.
