Meet Noa Mazar | Actress & Singer/Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Noa Mazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Noa, how do you think about risk?
It’s no secret that a risk can be thought of as a negative thing. We classify adventurous people as risk takers and ones that dot take risks as “safe”.
Honestly, not one day goes by without a risk taken.
Getting in a car and driving is a risk. Turning on the oven is a risk.
Why apply for the job if there’s a chance I won’t get it?
And why fall in love I there is a risk I might get hurt?
sometimes those are risks we take into consideration, but generally they become part of our daily lives. We don’t even realize they’re there.
When I started changing my point of view and making “Taking Risks” my priority I actually started moving forward.
It’s like an equation: Risk + Motivation = Growth. No matter how many times the risk was not in your favor.
For me it all starts with fearing failure. We don’t always succeed. But If I don’t take these risks, how will I know what it feels like to fail? And then how badly I want to succeed?
And I found that when I failed, I built myself back up, stronger, for the next time when I tried again.
I take a risk every day with my career and my aspirations.
Having a degree in anything related to entertainment does not promise you success in the field, as oppose to a lawyer, or a doctor for instance. So dreaming big and aiming to conquer my goal? I would call that a risk. One that many people in the creative world take.
At age 21 I left my family and my life in Israel to start a new life following my dreams. I packed 2 suitcases and moved to LA. I figured if I throw myself into deep water I will have no choice but to swim. That’s why I didn’t want to have a a plan B. If I had a plan B then I open up the option to fail Plan A. Maybe that’s the biggest risk but I will ever take.
In acting, we use the phrase “taking risks “a lot. It’s about not playing it safe, making the bold choices will that take your scene to the next level. Like any risk, it can completely blow up in your face and a lot of the time it just doesn’t work, but at least you tried, and you know for next time.
I make it a point to take risks in my career and in my life, to do the things I’m uncomfortable with because I know that at the end of the day, it will lead to growth. .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Ever since i was little my dream was to be a performer – to Act and to sing. So I found any chance to get on a stage and I would give the performance of my life. Every time. And if it wasn’t a stage then it was the living room of my parents’ house when their friends were over, or family gatherings, or school. I’m luck to have parents that recognized my dreams early on and did everything they could to support.. My mom insisted that I go to acting classes from a young age, My dad taught me how to play the guitar and the list goes on.
i am a 23 year old Israeli – Italian actress and singer/songwriter.
I am still in the beginning of my journey and I can say I have had my fair share of challenges so far.
I am always honing my skills and jumping on every opportunity that comes my way, even the smallest ones, to make sure that I gain experience and knowledge.
I love turning all of my past experiences into art. From growing up all over the world, learning many languages and literally living different cultures, to serving in the Israeli army, It is very important that I stash all of my feelings and emotions in my toolbox to use later.
I believe that is where authenticity comes from – Being able to recognize an emotion and reliving the moment I have felt that same emotion or something similar, and bringing that to life once again.
The main challenges I face come from how harsh the entertainment industry is, but it also toughens me up and shows me how determined I am to keep going. Remembering that helps me overcome my challenges.
Another challenge is living far from family, my biggest support system. I make sure to check in with them every day, and get my boost of support and motivation while I’m at it .
I am very proud of the year that I have had and the projects I took Part in like Working with IsraelinLA as a presenter and participating in informational videos for their social media platforms.
I have modeled for MSFTSrep – Trippy summer as well as and some Israeli brands as well and participated in global campaign videos for the: Global day of unplugging” and music videos like Jaden Smith’s “Summer” video which was a beautiful experience.
My next projects include some interviewing as well , which I am really excited about.
I’m fortunate to be working with and learning from inspiring individuals in the Music industry.
I spend plenty of time in the studio with D-Sab, who is a DJ/Producer and Ahrya Far, aka Bosquet who is a Producer/Audio Engineer as well as Jono, who is a very talented recording artist.
I feel lucky to be surrounded by people like them who help me grow professionally and personally as I actively work to figure out my sound and write new music.
So far , the biggest lesson that I have learned is that opportunities won’t always come to me and that i can definitely create them myself. Instead waiting for an opportunity, i would much rather put myself out there, create, communicate and reach out. I have realized that things naturally come when i put in the work.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If i was taking a friend on the perfect Day in Los Angeles it would probably start with a hike or a nice workout. There are so many different hikes that lead to different viewpoints and that is the best way to see LA – from above!
The area also has some of the best workout classes. I go to Barry’s Bootcamp (a very intense kind of HIIT workout), and Reformer Pilates as well but i also enjoy walking or running on the beach.
There are so many nice coffee spots and bakeries round! My favorite bakery is Clark Street Bakery located in Brentwood. They have the best sourdough bread and pastries and i love to go there with my friends. There is also a spot called Caffe Luxe if you’re looking for some strong coffee, trust me.
Something I do almost every Sunday is go to the farmer’s market, either in Melrose or Brentwood. its a nice place to hang out in the sun with some friends or alone, while getting some of the best produce.
Another one of my favorite things is taking food up to the beach which happens to be very close to where i live, and watching the sunset. There are so many great beaches in the area and it is also the perfect place to meditate and reflect.
LA is full of creative people so no matter where you go there is always someone playing music, singing, painting and a million other things, and its a beautiful thing to see,
When it comes to Dinner and nightlife, there are plenty of restaurants and drink spots in West Hollywood as Well as Bars and clubs. That is probably where a perfect Saturday night would end…. Or maybe at In n Out Burger right after that 🙂

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It is so important and comforting for me to have people around that believe in me and have my back. My parents and my brothers are the reason I want to succeed! They always made it a point to push me to do what I love no matter what the consequences are. I want to make them proud and and that is a huge motivating factor for me!
Another support system that I am grateful for – My friends! They are my family here in LA, and I couldn’t keep going without their motivation and love.
