We had the good fortune of connecting with John Paul Castillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi John Paul, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It all started in college when I took a graphic design classes and when I started to doing graphic works for couple of friends. Since then, I had the idea of starting a graphic design company along with doing photography and video editing as well. The idea actually came from my childhood back when I was a very creative in art.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I guess I have a strong passion for being creative now I went through tough time and still there. To overcome these challenges, I have to push myself everyday by networking as I run into new people everyday like for example, I am a part of a company called the Fleet Dj where we interviewed artist and network with musician from around the work. The lessons I learn was you can’t always depend on blood of they do not share the same passion as you because they will slow you down.
My brand was based on my childhood creativity because I love to be creative so much that I even gotten into the metaverse and nfts as well. Being passionate about creativity is my life as long I stay consistent.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I usually invite them to dine to places like Italian food or other exotic restaurants like there is one Italian restaurant that serves very good pasta and pizza with natural ingredients. I treat my friends with good meal
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The following as goes; sending mad love to those who inspire me to push forward like Kissy Denise, a beautiful boss chick and an amazing friend who push me really hard to start looking for a niche and made me determined to start a great business. All of my professors at MiraCosta College, they are amazing and lastly, a huge shoutout to a great and wonderful mentor who is also my beloved friend, Eman Bensalem of school of Rebirth or Mani for short. I lost my job last year and things was working out for me but each time I feel down, Mani was there to encourage me to not lose hope and helped me network with amazing people and I love her for that knowing that my heart and faith will strengthen further as I push to be a millionaire one day. And to my brother, Ervine, for recognizing my talent and helped through me as I was losing funds. Love you all
