Meet Ella G. Burgos | Music Composer, Producer & Bass Player

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ella G. Burgos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ella, how do you think about risk?
Either being a business owner or starting your own creative project are both taking risks. Risks are all about making the changes for the life you want to live or what you want to become. Yes, you are jumping into the unknown, but as long as you have a plan and believe in it. It will become true.
My biggest risk was to come to the US so young, without really knowing exactly what path to take. All I knew was that I wanted to be involved in music, play live music and make music. I am now working with amazing artists and a beautiful band, playing around the US. Also starting my own creative project. I am very blessed that I took that risk of coming here.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I moved to Los Angeles at the age of 20 to pursue a music career and expand my knowledge. I have met the most amazing people along the way. I am playing with recognized artists and my band KingQueen, we have been nominated to Hollywood in Media Awards in 2021 as “Rock Song Of The Year” and won an award at the International Music Awards in Paris. We already have tour dates coming up this year 2022 that you can check out on KingQueen’s official website!
My path was definitely not easy, 2 years into my career I was very homesick and I almost went back home. I didn’t have many friends, only business-related people around me. So I was just alone most of the time. I decided to change that and start making close friends, I knew that would help me, to have a sorta family feeling here in LA. I am very happy I decided to give it another try and stay because none of what happened to me would’ve happened if I didn’t make that decision.
I am also starting a new solo project called “the chillest girl ever” it’s Lo-Fi-based music and I am very excited to have launched it. I have a lot of plans for this project and I have been working so hard on it. I am very positive this is going to be an amazing ride. Search “the chillest girl ever” on all streaming platforms!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friends would want to go to the tourist places, we could do that first! But after that, I would probably take them to my favorite coffee shops such as Intelligentsia or Blue Bottle Coffee. I like Silver Lake, Echo Park, and the Pasadena area a lot. I am a very laid-back person so anything that is beautiful to look at, like buildings, and nature-ish places like going on a hike near Malibu. I am all for it. I would definitely take them to more places, bars, clubs, and maybe even a road trip to the mountains outside LA. It really depends on what they like.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a huge thanks to all of my family and friends that have supported me so much. Their motivation has led me to places I never thought I’d be. I want to also thank my band KingQueen for being such professional people that always want to be improving and growing, they have helped me so much in my career. And last but not least, I thank God for always leading me to where I have to be.
