We had the good fortune of connecting with Fernando Quispe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fernando, how do you think about risk?
Funny, I used to be really scared about taking risks.. but the older we get, the more we realize that life is all about taking risks (I’m not talking irresponsible risks) if you’re gonna do it, do it right! Plan, prepare, and execute. The risk you’re scared to take can be a major game changer for you.

Risk taking has played an important part in my life/career. In a former article for Voyage, I explained a bit on how I began this brand and it was simply off of a risk. This brand was a project for one of my marketing classes in college and I got great feedback! The feedback was so great, that I got the crazy little idea in my head to start a brand out of it, haha. I finished off that final semester at my dream school, dropped out and told myself, if I had the entire class amazed there’s no telling what the rest of the world will think.

But seriously, where would we be if we didn’t take those small leaps? If you believe, you can achieve and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started Club De Richesse with the root of helping those with no voice have a voice, and if you’re missing some sort of motivation you’re more than likely to get motivated with one of our pieces! Almost every piece we design, shares a quote in correlation to something I have previously dealt with in my past, so that those who support our brand know too that we are just regular people like you and if we can do this, you can too. Growing up there was a time where I had no motivation in myself and the people who I had around me weren’t really helping motivate me either. Knowing this feeling was the worst and I didn’t want anyone else to have to feel this way and this is why Club De Richesse exists.

We aren’t where we want to be but we’re striving and pushing, the best advice I could give to someone who’s just starting up is block out all of the distractions and simply just aspire to inspire, the universe will take note and your blessings will come. Lesson(s) I learned along the way? Most important to me – sometimes a dream starts with a vision only YOU can see and that is completely ok it’s your job to put in the ground work to get your vision out.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly, I’m not a very complex person and I think the company I keep is about the same, haha. You’d probably catch me and a close friend somewhere like Malibu beach – on the rocks enjoying the view and the water.. after that we’d probably go get something to eat locally depending how we’re feeling, one of my go to’s is “Dave’s Hot Chicken” or another one of my favorites since I’m originally from the East Coast is “Prime Philly” – BEST CHEESESTEAKS in LA hands down!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely, a teacher of mine when I was younger his name is Mr. Hernandez. Ed, if you’re reading this I want to thank you for all of the wise words that you shared with me when I was younger. You believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself and for that I will always thank you! Ed also had a T-Shirt company he ran back in the day he called it “Elektro Shirts” they were T-Shirts that moved to the sound of music, etc! They were super sick and I remember him telling the students about it and everyone wanted one haha.

Another person that deserves a shoutout on this is my Dad! I don’t think I know anyone who works as hard as my dad, he did everything to make it possible at home and for that I will always look at my pops as a hero. Thank you for believing in the good times and the bad times. Last, my girlfriend who pushes me to be a better me everyday (if it’s me on photo, it’s more than likely her behind the lens) thank you for everything you do I appreciate you more than you know.
