We had the good fortune of connecting with DAHIANA BILBAO and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DAHIANA, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
In all honesty because of passion & people. There’s so much to say and so much to do with so little time on this planet. We are lucky if we get 100 years here; so how do we share a laugh or message with the world? For me, it was following the passion of creative arts; the freedom of witty self expression in every form. Ive said it many times; I came to Hollywood training in Musical Theatre which then led me the yogic route and has, since then, complimented my creativity in expression. So whether there was knowledge of information shared, learned, or many laughs exchanged; as a teacher, student, or actor and performer – there is and always will be elevation in connection involved during creation. Stories to hear & stories to tell. And that keeps my creative pursuit curious, patient, & alive with wild laughter.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Im a versatile creative, as many are. I enjoy creating comedy content, bringing action & dramatic roles to life, lyrics of what I’ve gone through, and most importantly, for me, is creating questionable art. We don’t need to be valued or understood in the creations we birth but merely just freely becoming the vessel of releasing creative energetic force that speaks to our heart and soul. Giving art a place to live.

I’ve learned along the way patience is key & a virtue for a reason. That everyone has a timing. We are so quick to give up because we see where everyone else’s success is rather than enjoying the unfolding of our own. Never give up. I would love the world to know.. to hire me!! lol All jokes aside, to truly to know that sometimes things take time and time is one of the few precious gifts we have. So don’t rush things, get better at the version of you. Keep learning. Keep upgrading and elevating and please treat people well along the way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would totally start at Juicy Ladies for a delicious breakfast over in Malibu along the PCH. We would then head up the street take a stroll through Lake Shrine, Yoganada’s place which I encourage many to check out.. some of Gandhi’s ashes are buried there! End with an afternoon of some sunshine just behind Gladstone’s and enjoy the surfers and waves.

We would end the night in Hollywood probably for some dinner at one of my favorite spots, Elbow Room, and of course a quick stroll through some of the iconic West Hollywood spots such as the Viper Room, Rainbow, maybe even end having a good dance time at Lance’s new spot “HEART”.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many deserve a shoutout! First & foremost God. Along with my amazing, supportive family & friends. My Italian Queen momma is always so so proud.. I got very lucky with each of them. My family is so special to me. My home away from home, GLOWING JUICES. James Coons my life and talent manager. My agent and team at PKA. To some amazing teachers from Old Forge High school, special shoutout! In college, Dale Young & Jayme Klinger Host. To the many teachers at AMDA LA & many spiritual teachers such as Sat Devbir Singh, Beryl Herrin, Ram Kirin, Guru Meher, Ram Dass, GuruPrem, Remington Donovan, 9 treasures yoga & Tej, the community at Yogi Tree North Hollywood, ZOE church. And lastly, some of my favorite authors such as Caroline Myss, Eckhart Tolle, & Paulo Coelho. The list is long and never ending and I’m forever thankful truly to so, so many.
